Former lovebirds Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas have become friends again but that is as far as their new relationship will go.

In an interview with US Weekly, the “Skyscraper” crooner admitted that she and Jonas have buried the hatchet, but made it clear that rekindling their love affair will not happen.

Some celebrity websites had claimed that that two Disney stars have started dating again. But when Lovato was asked to comment on these reports, she categorically rejected them, although she did say: “We’ve been really good friends for so long. So it’s been cool hanging out with him again.”

Lovato was shooting an advertisement in Malibu when she was approached for a comment on her love life. There, she was also joined by Meaghan Martin, Allyson Felix and Tyler Blackburn.

When asked to say how she feels about working with Martin, the 19-year-old multitalented celebrity said: “It’s cool because we’ve gotten to work together before, and now we’re working together again. It’s kind of like a reunion. So it’s nice. It’s really fun.”

Meanwhile, the middle Jonas brother was recently spotted in New York with his Brazilian fashion model girlfriend,  Jessica Pott. The couple went out for a little walk near Manhattan and then shopped around. They didn’t show any public displays of affection in front of cameras but did look very chummy with each other.
