Hollywood actress Mena Suvari’s separated hubby Simone Sestito wants her to take care of him in case of their divorce. According to celebrity news website TMZ, Sestito has submitted his legal documents in court and his basic demand is to receive a monthly payment of $17,151 from Suvari along with an additional one-off sum of $10,000 to cover his legal bills.
The basis of his demand is that Suvari earns around $750,000, while he himself has no liquid assets or cash of any kind. Sestito, who is a concert promoter by profession, tried to justify his demands by saying that he is a regular visitor to lavish restaurants and spends almost $3,000 a month on his dining habits. The Italian-Canadian concert promoter then said that he has been relying on credit cards and loans to make ends meet.
Earlier this year, Suvari filed for divorce in Los Angeles County Superior Court and specifically mentioned in her papers that she doesn’t want to pay Sestito any money in spousal support. The “American Pie” actress’ attorney Mark Cross told TMZ: “It is unfortunate that Simone has chosen the spotlight of litigation over the privacy of mediation.”

When the judge rubberstamps their legal breakup, Suvari would become a two-time divorcee, as she had experienced another failed marriage back in 2005. In an interview with British tabloid the Daily Mail, she said: “I mean honestly, I never thought that at 33 I’d be a two-time divorcee.”
When asked why her 18-month-long marriage with Sestito is ending in such a disaster, she answered: “There are many reasons why things don’t work out, and I think at some point you have to acknowledge that and work towards maintaining your own happiness. You have to surround yourself with people who love you and want the best for you. I call this process weeding my garden.”
