Lindsay Lohan has decided to put her love life on back burner so that she can concentrate on her new Lifetime movie “Liz & Dick,” in which she is scheduled to play the character of legendary actress Dame Elizabeth Taylor.

Celebrity news website TMZ’s sources claim that Lohan regards “Liz & Dick” as a career defining movie for herself and therefore, she doesn’t want to ruin it by getting emotionally attached to anyone during the flick’s filming.

“Lindsay wants to devote all her spare time to reading the script and getting Liz’s persona down pat rather than focus on a new relationship,” the source said.

After several years of struggles with drugs, alcohol and the law, Lohan has finally managed to get herself out of trouble and she now wants to concentrate solely on her movie career.

The “Mean Girls” actress first found herself in hot water with the law in 2007 when she was arrested twice for driving under the influence of alcohol. Her failure to honor the terms of her probation landed her behind the bars for 14 days in 2010.

Then last year, she was accused of stealing a necklace from a jewelry store, a charge to which she pleaded guilty. She has also had three rehab stints so far in her career and all of these messes have slowed down her Hollywood career a great deal.

But now that the 25-year-old actress is clean and sober, she wants to make up for the lost time by devoting all her energies to her profession. And if career success comes at a cost of personal love, then she is ready for that as well.
